I truly believe in the Erawan Shrine waiting for my prayers to come true

by E W
(New York, USA)

I have heard of the Erawan Shrine since I was a kid. I'm in my mid 40's now. This year (2010) I had the worst luck ever in my life. Lost my job and had to deal with dramas from my friends and family.

So I decided to worship at the Erawan Shrine and hope to get things settled. I arrived at midnight and visited the Erawan Shrine the first thing the next morning, to show my full respect.

So far I haven't seen any of my wishes come true (2 weeks), and I hope I prayed right--clockwise. I bought the most expensive package, not being greedy, but out of my respect for the Erawan Shrine since I flew 10,000 miles to Bangkok.

I hope I can get out of this predicament soon and I promise to revisit the Erawan Shrine to give thanks.

Again, although I haven't gotten anything yet, I'm feeling hopeful everyday. I believe something good will happen soon.

Thanks and hope all is well to everyone.

Find peace
by: Anonymous

May all who seek peace from their troubles find peace.

I prayed for two things, one of which I do find coming true in some way, for which I am grateful. The second may not come true, seeing that the deadline has passed, unless things have a way of working themselves out or is for a greater good.

Either way, I can only hope that things will work out and I can get out of this rut which I have been stuck in for months and is draining me.

Going to the four-faced Buddha was my last resorts cos I didn't think anyone else could help.

But from this I guessed I emerged a stronger person. Perhaps everything happens for a reason :)

Kindness begets kindness and always try to lead a mindful, fruitful life despite the many difficulties we face.

PEACE

Pray at the Erawan Shrine
by: Eric Oz

I too will go to Thailand to pray at the Erawan Shrine to ask for forgiveness for being greedy.

I took the wrong step in my business that led to trouble now and maybe bigger trouble in the near future.

I just want to ask for forgiveness and help to guide me out of this troubled times.
